Regression
Therapy
Every human being represents a sacred
combination of body, mind, and soul. Each part of that
combination is like a different dimension, a different aspect
of us. They each register every single experience that we go
through. No thought, emotion, or action passes
unnoticed. The Mind will register experiences in a
different way, compared to the Body or the Soul.
There is no such
thing as a neutral experience. They are either positive or
negative. The latter ones are often viewed as ‘traumas’.
Traumas are always very subjective and should never be judged
or measured. What is deeply traumatic to one person can be
quite bearable to another.
Each trauma
leaves a mark on the mind and the body of the person. Human
mind however is constructed in such a way, that the memories
of the more painful experiences are swiftly shifted into our
subconscious mind and with time we ‘forget’ about them. It
does not mean that they stop affecting us. They do, we just
see their end results in various emotional or physical
imbalances.
Regression
Therapy allows a person to go to the root cause of the
problem. It recognizes the importance of dealing not only with
the Mind, but also the Body and the higher, Soul – aspect of
the person.
The Mind
The Mind’s
language is very logic, it needs to understand things, get the
answers to ‘Why?’, ‘How and when it began?’. The understanding
of why something has happened in the first place provides a
huge release of tension and resistance that a person might
have felt in the past. With that understanding the frustration
disappears and the balance is restored.
The Physical
Body
The physical
body deals with traumatic events in a very unique way. During
the moment of trauma, the physical body often wants to react
in some way to the situation it finds itself in. It might want
to defend itself or run to safety. Instead, in the moment of
trauma, the body freezes. It is as if somebody has pressed the
‘pause’ button on a TV right in the middle of an important
scene and has forgotten to release it. Energy blockages are
created within certain affected areas.
Whether the Body
was exposed to a single deeply traumatic situation or to
repeated incidents of trauma, the damage needs to be repaired.
Otherwise, if undealt with, it might result in the
manifestation of a physical dis-ease at some stage in a
person’s life.
The body is a
physical being, therefore the methods used with the Mind -
talking, reasoning, understanding - do not work. A physical
release is necessary. The Body parts affected are addressed
directly, and allowed to let go of whatever emotion was
stored in them.
The Soul
An important
aspect of Regression Therapy is to provide the client with the
ability to understand what profound learning they were
supposed to have taken from that traumatic situation. The
client is able to place that experience within the greater
spectrum of his life lessons. They therefore gain greater
insights into themselves. A wonderful process of
self-empowerment begins.
Current Life /
Past Life
In some cases it
is enough for a person to regress into events in their current
life in order to heal their issues. In other cases it is
necessary to go deeper, into previous incarnations.
Some clients
will be prevented from going anywhere beyond their current
life, as there might be a pressing issue which needs to be
addressed immediately and a Past Life regression would only
divert their attention from it.
To sum it up,
whether a client regresses into a current or past life depends
on the client and their individual needs.
I find Past
Lives to be such an amazing exercise in self-understanding.
Upon discovering the experiences that shaped us, our personal
‘evolution path’, our current lives, our relationships, fears,
limitations are making so much sense. And with those insights,
comes not only healing, but Self-Empowerment.
